Growing
The herb is easy to grow, but is frost sensitive. The plants can be started on a sunny windowsill in spring, and moved outside after the last frosts to a sunny and sheltered position. By growing several plants, and picking a few leaves off each plant as required, the plants can be harvested through the summer. Cutting the top off stems will encourage side shoots. Regular watering will prevent the leaves becoming chewy – but avoid having wet soil on cold nights.
